Coating PTFE colour
PTFE colour | Water-soluble two-component solidfilm lubricants for elastomer parts in the colours red, blue, yellow or white. |
Description | PTFE colour, a two-component dispersion based on PTFE solids, organic binders and water, is recommended for specific dynamic applications. A hardener and colour are added before the coating process. The coating is coloured and wear-resistant with a high resistance to a wide range of chemicals. The coating is particularly suited to plastic counterfaces. |
Aim | Reduced friction on elastomer parts and reduced colour differences |
Application | All types of elastomers (except VQM and FVMQ materials, which are subject to testing) |
Base material | Synthetic resin/PTFE |
Colour | Red, blue, yellow or white (the specific colour depends on the material, colour and surface of the substrate). |
Coating thickness | 2 – 8 µm |
Temperature range | -40°C to +150°C (coating material) |
Hardness | Increase possible up to +4 IRHD (DIN 53519/2), measured on coated part |
Properties | - Colour distinction - Elastic surface - Very high chemical resistance - Smooth surface structure - Suitable for dynamic applications (plastic counterface) - UV indicator - Contains no materials that must be declared in accordance with VDA 232-101 |
Delivery period | 2 – 3 weeks |
